A pleasant morning at our surprisingly cheap hostel before hiking Roy's Peak (featuring Caroline and her kiwi).
Roy's peak was the longest hike of our journey (6 hours), but it did not disappoint! The entire way up, you are treated to views of the mountain ranges and valleys. Even though the sun was shining, this hike helped remind us that it was still winter in NZ.
And then a nice cool down walk by Lake Wanaka before grabbing $10 burgers for dinner and dessert at a local bakery! One of my favorite things about New Zealand is that there is at least one bakery in every town.
