Day 14: Lyttleton, Sumner, Godley Head

We had a pretty leisurely day which started out at a cafe in Lyttleton where I had the best mocha ever and some banana and bacon waffles and Karel ordered a seriously life changing spinach and feta muffin. After brunch, we stopped at Sumner Beach. It was a little rainy, so we went inside the library after a little while, charged our phones, and made sure to let our parents know we were still doing okay. We ended the day with a drive down a typical, winding NZ road through sheep pastures to Godley Head. It was peak lambing season so all the babies were out frolicking in the fields. So cute! Godley Head used to be a military base so we explored the abandoned barracks before heading back to our airbnb.
